The leading republican specialized treatment and prophylactic organizations have been transformed into republican specialized scientific and practical medical centers.
According to the decree of the President “On measures for the further development of specialized medical assistance to the population of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2017-2021 years” the list of medical institutions consists of the Republican Specialized Center for Surgery named after Vakhidov, the Republican Specialized Cardiology Center, the Republican Specialized Urology Center, the Republican Specialized Center for Eye Microsurgery, Research Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics and the Republican Scientific Center Neurosurgery.
A head of the press service of the Ministry of Health Furkat Sanayev drew attention to the fact that the occurred changes, first of all, are the unification of the names of medical institutions, along with which the work to further improve their activities, in particular, their interaction with regional clinics will be carried out.
The main tasks of the centers are the conduct of a uniform methodological, technological, curative and preventive policy in terms of their profile, the definition of the need for modern equipment and technologies, medicines and medical products, the development of clinical protocols, and the provision of necessary preventive work in the regions. To achieve these goals, they will develop relevant documentation, publish the information and explanatory materials, carry out off-site consultations, master classes, and also surgeries in the territorial specialized medical organizations.
In addition, the centers, together with the Tashkent Institute for Advanced Medical Studies, will better the skills of their own staff, staff of specialized territorial medical organizations, and also train specialists in narrow specialties in clinical residency, basic doctoral candidacy and doctoral studies.
At the same time, they are instructed to cooperate with leading international medical centers, clinics and highly qualified foreign specialists, including inviting them to the republic for consultations and master classes, to provide the internship of domestic specialists in specialized medical centers and clinics abroad.
