On the eve of Navruz, the first potato processing plant in the Central Asian region Solanuz has been launched in Tashkent, as well as International Potatoe Day has been celebrated.
The event is organized by the Potato Producers Association, the supplier of potato growing and warehousing equipment – the German company Grimme and one of the major potato producers – Agrover LLC group of companies.
On the International Potato Day, the opening ceremony of the plant brought together representatives of ministries and agencies, the agricultural sector of the country, foreign companies operating in agriculture.
An exhibition presenting warehouse, packaging and irrigation equipment, and a cooperation exchange for farmers and other producers of agricultural products was held. In addition, potato cocktail with beet mousse, potato ice cream with smoked chicken, potato wedges with garlic and croquettes are only a small part of dishes, which were presented for tasting.
