On February 16, the protocol on mutual exemption from entry visa requirements by Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), signed on January 16 this year in Abu Dhabi, entered into force.
According to the document signed by the Ambassador of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Akkulov and Undersecretary of the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs Khalid Abdullah Belhoul, Uzbekistan citizens are exempt from visa requirements for the period of stay in the UAE for no more than 30 days.
It should be noted that Uzbekistan people can visit up to 29 countries without a visa. This gave Uzbekistan the 69th place in the world passport strength rating of the Passport Index.
According to the Statistics Agency of Uzbekistan, 131,589 Uzbekistan citizens visited the UAE in 2023.
