Tashkent hosts the 4th World Conference on Creative Economy (WCCE).
The event on “Inclusively Creative: A Shifted Reality” was organized by the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation with the support of Indonesian partners, the UN Conference on Trade and Development and the World Intellectual Property Organization.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov and Assistant to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Saida Mirziyoyeva.
More than 2,000 industry representatives from 75 countries will discuss socio-economic issues related to the rapid development of technology and the role of creative industries in shaping a sustainable future.
A ministerial meeting on the creative economy, an exhibition of achievements of the world’s creative industries and Uzbekistan, workshops, masterclasses, and practical classes will be held. New art residences are expected to open at the Center for Contemporary Art in Tashkent.
WCCE, first organized in Indonesia in 2018, helps strengthen international cooperation in promoting sustainable economic growth and transitioning from a resource-based economy to a knowledge-based economy.
