Tashkent hosted the Uzbekistan – Tajikistan Business Forum within the framework of which B2G and B2B meetings of entrepreneurs of the two countries were also held.
The current state and prospects of trade-economic and investment cooperation were discussed at the event, which was attended by more than 200 representatives of ministries and agencies, businesspeople and industrial associations of the two countries.
The delegations of the parties were led by the Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov and the First Deputy Prime Minister of Tajikistan Davlatali Said.
The participants discussed joint projects and initiatives in transport and logistics, as well as interregional cooperation.
B2B meetings provided an opportunity for business representatives of the two countries to demonstrate their products and services, exchange views on the export potential and priorities of cooperation. Several investment agreements and trade contracts were signed following the event.
