At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron arrived in Uzbekistan on November 1 on an official visit.
The Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov, and other officials met the distinguished guest at Samarkand International Airport.
The two countries’ national flags were raised, and a guard of honor was lined up in honor of the distinguished guest.
The main events of the visit are planned for tomorrow. Today, the heads of the two states will visit the sights of ancient Samarkand together.
In accordance with the program of the visit, high-level talks will be held in Samarkand. Presidents will consider issues of further developing multilateral relations between Uzbekistan and France.
The primary attention will be paid to enhancing practical cooperation in trade, economics, innovation, investment, and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
The leaders of Uzbekistan and France will also participate in a joint Business Forum with representatives of leading companies, banking, and financial institutions of the two countries.
Following the summit, several intergovernmental and interdepartmental agreements and trade and investment contracts are expected to be signed.
