President criticized the slowness in activities on formation of funds necessary for implementation of the “Prosperous village” program

To date, 51 thousand 660 individual, 518 multi-storey houses, 610 kilometers of power lines, 66 kilometers of gas pipeline, 398 transformer points have been repaired.

This was reported at the meeting dedicated to issues of implementation of “Obod qishloq” (“Prosperous village”) and “Obod makhalla” (“Prosperous neighborhood”) programs, improvement of settlements that was held on June 27 under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The first results in this direction were analyzed at the meeting in detail. Slowness in organization and implementation of activities envisaged in the program was criticized.

It was noted that the master plans for 44 villages out of 64, additionally included in the program, in particular 22 villages of Andijan, 6 villages of Navoi, 13 villages of Tashkent, and 3 villages of Khorezm regions, have still not been developed.

The President criticized the slowness in activities on formation of funds necessary for implementation of the program. In a number of regions, activity on repair of apartment houses is still not organized at the proper level. For example, in 54 villages, 14 thousand houses have not yet been renovated. Work on repair of multi-storey houses in rural areas does not correspond to the corresponding level.
