The central exhibition hall of the Arts Academy of Uzbekistan hosted an exhibition dedicated to the memory of artists Teshaboy and Shavkat Pirmatovs, reports National Information Agency.
Arts Academy Chairman Akmal Nuriddinov and others noted that a special attention under the leadership of President Islam Karimov paid to the development of art, including fine art, as well as honoring the memory of the artists who have made a great contribution to the national culture and to the study and promotion of their activities.
Teshaboy Pirmatov taught art at the Tashkent State Pedagogical University for many years, and his son Shavkat was an active participant of the exhibitions of national and international scale.
The rural landscapes, pictures of everyday life of the villagers, their selfless work and characters occupied the main place in their works. Their paintings are imbued with a sense of love for their native land, full of national colours, and differ with warmth and sincerity.
