On March 1, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov met with the External Affairs Minister of the Republic of India Sushma Swaraj, who attends the 46th Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Abu Dhabi as an honorary guest.
According to Uzbekistan MFA, heads of foreign affairs agencies discussed implementation of high-level agreements reached during the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to India last fall and his participation in Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit in January this year.
The parties noted with satisfaction the successful outcome of the first ministerial meeting of India – Central Asia Dialogue with participation of Afghanistan in Samarkand, where the prospects for further expansion of regional cooperation, primarily in trade, economic and investment spheres were considered.
The ministers exchanged views on other issues of Uzbekistan – India agenda, as well as the CFM OIC.
