In accordance with the law of the Republic of Uzbekistan, cargo and military personnel transported by road, rail and air transport are subject to border and customs control and registration. Transit cargo is not subject to customs duties and taxes. Transit traffic is carried out on the basis of a one-time permit issued by the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

As it was noted during the discussion of the law “On ratification of the Agreement on extradition between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Turkey”, the Agreement on extradition as a legal basis for ensuring principle of inevitability of responsibility for the commission of a crime will serve to improve the effectiveness of bilateral cooperation in the fight against crime.
