Delegation of consultants on the issues of development of software products market and start-up projects of the Korea Information Society Development Institute (KISDI) visits Tashkent. The guests are holding consultations for organizations and enterprises of the IT sector in Uzbekistan.
One of such event took place at the Ministry for Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan, where the South Korean experts met with the first deputy minister on development of information technologies and communications of Uzbekistan, O.Umarov. Representatives of KISDI told about the development of IT business in Korea, the stages of its formation, as well as conditions and legislative base that contribute to further growth of its share in the country’s GDP. They also noted the importance of holding consultations on the policy of development of IT start-ups and the software products market as a direct condition for creation of high-tech industries.
In turn, the Uzbek side acquainted the guests with conditions, privileges and preferences granted to local entrepreneurs for business development in the IT sector. The results of activities of “Mirzo Ulugbek Innovation Center” Innovation center for supporting development and introduction of information technologies in Tashkent, were presented, the residents of which are exempt from paying taxes, which contributes to the receipt of additional profits, which can be used to further expand the business.
The delegation of South Korean consultants will stay in Tashkent until April 21, but the program of consultations itself is scheduled until December 2018 and consists of four stages. It is noteworthy that in the second stage, within one week, five specialists from Uzbekistan will attend special trainings and workshops in the Republic of Korea.
It is worth noting the rich experience of KISDI in implementation of such projects, as well as high professionalism of their consultants. Therefore, over the past 15 years, they have consulted and implemented 73 projects in 27 countries.
