The Japanese city of Kanazawa (Ishikawa Prefecture) has hosted XII tourism exhibition “Activation of tourism in Japan”.

The firms and companies fr om other countries took part in the event along with the tour operators of the Land of the Rising Sun. According to the organizers, more than 20 thousand people visited there over three days of the exhibition.

At the exhibition, Uzbekistan was represented by our embassy in Tokyo which organized a colorfully designed national stand. The attention of the visitors of the pavilion was placed on the detailed information about the potential of our country in the field of tourism, the historical sights on its territory and the measures taken to further improve the conditions for foreign guests.

Giving an interview to the Jahon, a high-ranking visitor of the Uzbek stand, the deputy of the House of Representatives of the Japanese Parliament Yuko Nakatava described our republic as “one of the oldest centers of world civilization which at the present stage has turned into a center of tourism on the Asian continent”.

– The national color which distinguished the Uzbek pavilion at the forum in Kanazawa, left best impressions on me. The presentation of your country at such events in the prefectures of Japan serves more efficient dissemination of information on its tourist potential.

In turn, the president of the Japan Association of Tourist Agents (JATA) Tadashi Shimuraso said that he is a big fan of Uzbekistan.

– I visited to your republic many times and always came back with pleasant impressions. Uzbekistan is a unique region wh ere peace and tranquility reign, and its people are sincere and warm-hearted. It is gratifying that this year 10 charter flights launched from Japanese cities to Samarkand. This step, we believe, will contribute to a significant increase in the flow of tourists to Uzbekistan.
