A delegation led by the President of Information Systems Management Institute (ISMA) of Latvia, Romans Djacons, visited Fergana. The purpose of the visit was conduction of negotiations on establishment in Fergana region of a representative office and, subsequently, the ISMA branch for training and retraining specialists in the sphere of tourism.
As reported by the State Committee on Development of Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan, one of the results of the delegation’s visit became the conclusion of a mutually beneficial agreement between the Regional tourism development department and the ISMA President of the Republic of Latvia. The agreement is aimed at increasing the level of qualification of the local population in the field of tourism, demonstrating active cooperation in training personnel of the tourism industry, as well as promoting the development of tourism in Fergana region.
The sides agreed on active assistance and comprehensive support in implementation of the process of training personnel in the sphere of tourism. While R.Djacons expressed his readiness to ensure promotion of the tourism potential of the region through qualified training. Future students of the regional branch will also have a unique opportunity to practice with Latvian tourism industry actors.
