This week, several significant events have taken place in the field of national cardiology service. A few striking statements sounded about the future development of this medical direction with the active participation of leading Russian centers.
Initially, news broke out on the development of cardiology during President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s trip to Khorezm region, including in the branch of the Republican Specialized Center of Cardiology.
There are functioning departments of cardiology, cardio-rehabilitation, cardiac surgery, interventional cardiology and physiotherapy, as well as the clinic. This center is one of the first regional clinics of Uzbekistan to master cardiac technology.
It is planned to open a branch of the A.Bakulev Russian Scientific-Practical Center for Cardiovascular Surgery. That would allow to diagnose and treat heart diseases in newborns, provide with specialized medical care for more than three thousand patients a year. The clinic will be a regional cardiac center for the population of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, as well as Khorezm and Bukhara regions.
Other news about the further development of cardiology was derived from the result of the trip of the Ministry of Health delegation of Uzbekistan to St. Petersburg. Here were signed an agreement on cooperation, including in the field of translational medicine between the Republican Specialized Center of Cardiology of the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan and the V.Almazov North-West Federal Medical Research Center of the Russian Ministry of Health. It should be noted that the two medical institutions are leading innovation centers in the field of cardiology and cardiac surgery in their countries.
The Almazov Center is one of the leading Russian institutions to provide highly skilled cardiac and cardiac surgery care to the population, carrying out fundamental and applied scientific researches, preparing scientific specialists, further training of doctors.
During a visit to the center the delegation of Uzbekistan arrived in St. Petersburg under the leadership of the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Health of Uzbekistan Adham Ikramov is particularly interested in the activities of Russian colleagues in the field of translational medicine, i.e. health care direction involving in the introduction of scientific researches into practice.
It should be noted that signed agreement will allow effectively develop the cooperation of bоth parties for the purpose of creating a scientific-educational and research environment for the development and realization of joint projects in the field of clinical, preventive and experimental cardiology.
The project will give impetus to the advancement of high-tech cardiology not only in capital, but also speed up this process in the remote regions of the country.
