2 hotels, 2 sanatoriums and 1 recreation facility were put into operation in Tashkent region for the first two months of the current year.
In Uzbekistan, special attention is paid to development of tourism, improving its infrastructure, enhancing the quality of service, simplifying visa regime for foreign tourists, creating benefits for entrepreneurs operating in this sphere. As a result, non-traditional types of tourism – archaeological, ethnographic, extreme, eco- and agro-tourism are developing at an accelerated pace.
Tourism is developing at an accelerated pace in Tashkent region, which has a huge natural resource potential. In 2018, the region was visited by more than 3 million 500 thousand tourists, including more than 550 thousand foreign tourists – this is several times more than in previous years.
Special attention is paid to improving the quality and increasing the types of services for tourists, creation of hotels, sanatoriums, hostels, campsites, recreation facilities, guest houses and information centers. For the first two months of 2019, 2 sanatoriums have been commissioned in Chirchik and Kibray districts, 2 hotels in Kibray district and recreational facilities in Bostanlyk district.
The scale of services for tourists is expanding, excursions to worship places, historical monuments and nature are organized.
