Cooperation prospects between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan business representatives

Uzbekistan – Kazakhstan relations, as in many other spheres, are developing well in the economic sector. In 2018, representatives of business community of the two countries implemented many practical measures aimed at strengthening relations.
Children’s clothing produced in Uzbekistan have been demonstrated at Childhood, Children’s Fashion 2018 exhibitions, held in Almaty. As a result, Lorat Textile signed an agreement with Kazakhstan partners.
As a result of negotiations between Uzbekistan Railways and Kazakhstan Railways with participation of representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, an agreement was signed on providing benefits for products transportation by rail line.
According to the agreements reached between the Commodity Exchange of Uzbekistan and the ETS Commodity Exchange in Almaty, the first foreign trading platform connected to electronic system of exchange trading started its activities. Representatives of business circles under the leadership of deputy khokims of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Jizzakh, Syrdarya, Tashkent, Khorezm regions and the city of Tashkent visited Kazakhstan’s regions and exhibition of products produced in Uzbekistan was organized in order to develop trade-economic, investment and tourism relations between the regions of the two countries.
Contracts worth more than 324.7 million USD have been signed at the first Uzbekistan – Kazakhstan Inter-Territorial Forum in Chimkent. 15 agreements on development of bilateral relations between the territories have been reached.
In general, as a result of practical cooperation in 2018 between small and medium-sized businesses of the two countries, export contracts worth 409.6 million USD have been signed.
