Ensemble “Silk Road” from Bukhara appeared in Tashkent Jazz Club. Musicians dedicated their concert to the memory of Manfred Schmitz – the great German composer and pianist, author of the famous “Jazz Parnassus” and the many brilliant works, reports the news agency Uzbekistan Today.
Over ten years the ensemble “Silk Road” has been supporting creative ties with Germany. Musicians have close contacts with Manfred Schmitz – musicians performed together with him at various venues, shared music operating time.
During the program there have been performed works by M. Schmitz, and the Concerto in F Minor (“Baroque-jazz”) by J.S.Bach, Jazz Fantasia on themes from the opera “The Magic Flute” by Mozart (“Hello Mozart”), “Blues remembrance” and “Jazz Etude”, Dvorak “Perpetual Motion ” by O.Peterson.
