CEC forms electoral commissions for presidential elections

Central Election Commission (CEC) of Uzbekistan adopted decisions on formation and approval of personal structure of electoral commissions for presidential elections on 16 January.

The decision was adopted at the session of the CEC, which was held on 16 January 2015. Mirzo-Ulugbek Abdusalamov headed the meeting.

Earlier, the CEC formed electoral districts for presidential elections within the borders of Karakalpakstan, regions and Tashkent city.

At the session, the CEC adopted decisions on formation and approval of personal structure of electoral commissions for presidential elections.

Candidates for members of electoral commissions were selected from prominent figures and submitted to the CEC for consideration. List of commissions and its members will be published in local media.

The CEC also considered other issues related to organization of presidential elections at the session.
