Delegation of South Korea, which included more than 100 businessmen and investors from various industries, as well as representatives of the Korean mass media – Korean Broadcasting System (KBS), visited Fergana. The purpose of the visit is to establish cooperation with local businessmen, as well as to search for profitable investment projects, including in the sphere of tourism.
As reported by the State Committee on Development of Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan, within two days the delegation got acquainted with the most popular tourist sites such as the Khudoyarkhan Palace, the “Yodgorlik” factory, the Art Palace named after Islam Karimov. The guests also became familiar with Kokand free economic zone.
Local businessmen had the opportunity to take part in the Uzbek-Korean business forum and reveal the investment potential of the region. The forum was held in the entrepreneurs’ building, where an exhibition hall was organized with participation of artisans from the region, who demonstrated their products to Korean guests.
The camera crew as part of the delegation visited a number of tourist sites, including the sights of Margilan and Kokand, as well as joint ventures of Fergana, one of which was JV “UzSangWoo”.
The achievement in the sphere of tourism became the signing of the Agreement of Cooperation of Fergana Territorial Administration on Development of Tourism with “See Jong Travel” agency. The sides agreed to actively promote the tourism potential of Fergana region through the provision of promotional materials, as well as attraction of tourists to the region.
