The ancient city of Kasan is one of the most famous cities not only in Fergana region, but throughout Central Asia, famous for its developed craft, rich history and culture.
According to historians, it originated around the 5th century and was one of the main cities of Davan state, Fergana. Ancient Kasan prospered, especially during the period of the Kushan Empire.
During the reign of Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur, the city with a 2400-year history was one of the eight developed cities of Fergana. In his memoirs, Babur describes with special warmth the wonderful climate, the gardens of Kasan.
