Following the first meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council, a ceremony of signing bilateral documents was held.
The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed a Joint Statement, as well as decisions of the Supreme Interstate Council on approving the Strategic Partnership and Alliance Program for 2024-2034 and establishing the Foreign Ministers Council.
In total, a package of documents covering a wide range of bilateral cooperation issues was adopted during the visit, in particular:
– Intergovernmental Agreement on the State Border Regime;
– Protocols on Introducing Amendments to Intergovernmental Agreements on State Border Checkpoints and International Automobile Traffic;
– Intergovernmental Action Plan for Cultural and Humanitarian Cooperation for 2024-2025;
– Cooperation Agreement in Agriculture;
– Cooperation Agreement in Healthcare;
– Cooperation Protocol between the Ministries of Economy;
– Cooperation Protocols in Regulating Natural Monopolies and in the Competition Policy;
– Memorandum on the Establishment of the Uzbekistan – Kazakhstan Expert Council;
– Agreement on Mutual Understanding between the Committee on Interethnic Relations and Friendly Ties of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Otandastar Fund of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
– Practical Action Plan to Enhance Cooperation between the Hokimiyat of Tashkent city and the Akimat of Astana city in trade, economic, investment, and cultural-humanitarian spheres for 2024-2026.
