Today, the new Afrosiyob electric train which arrived in Tashkent from the manufacturer, has made its first travel to Bukhara and will continue to run between Tashkent and this city.
Since 2011- from the early days of the operation on the domestic railways, two rolling stocks of the high-speed Afrosiyob trains have been running to this day which in total traveled more than one million kilometers, made 5,5 thousand trips and drove about 1 million 50 thousand passengers to the destination.
The new rolling stock is slightly different from its predecessors and has a number of advantages. In particular, they have more “Economy Class” carriages which allowed to increase the number of seats in the rolling stock. If Afrosiyob-1 and Afrosiyob-2 were designed for 215 passengers, Afrosiyob-3 can carry 287 people for one trip.
In the near future, another electric train of this modification is expected to arrive. Afrosiyob Park will be replenished with fourth such electric train.
