Germany’s Teichmann Group intends to build a plant that will produce cranes and listing machines in Tashkent

A related memorandum was signed in November last year. This was followed by the first session of the joint working group that discussed the creation of a new plant.

The production facilities will be located at unused premises and inactive buildings of the Tashkent Mechanical Plant. A delegation of the German company is expected to arrive in Tashkent to hold talks that will determine specific types of equipment as well as the scope of investment needed to get the project off the ground. According to plans, the bulk of the products that will be made by the plant will go to the external market.

The German side should present proposals related to the export prospects for products and specific parameters for production and technologies used as well as product localization. Representatives of the enterprise will provide information about the reconstruction plan for the facilities selected and transport communications.

Over the next five years, the Tashkent Mechanical Plant plans to implement 38 projects to the tune of over $390 million.
