Uzbek Health Minister receives delegation of Nagoya University

health_ministerMinister of healthcare of Uzbekistan Anvar Alimov held negotiations with the delegation of Nagoya University led by its President Seyichi Matsuo.

Alimov said that the Japan is a reliable partner of Uzbekistan and the relations between two states are developing gradually in spirit of strategic partnership in all areas of cooperation, including healthcare.

Seyichi Matsuo expressed gratitude for warm welcome and that the Japanese University is planning to continue cooperation with the Uzbek Health Ministry in training medical specialists and conducting joint researches in medicine.

He expressed gratitude to the Uzbek side for cooperation within the programme Young Leaders, which allowed 14 Uzbek medical specialists to improve knowledge and skills in Japan.

At the meeting, the Japanese delegation received information on reforming healthcare system and priority directions of the activities of the Ministry of Healthcare of Uzbekistan for next few years.

The sides outlined perspective directions of further strengthening cooperation between the Uzbek Ministry and Nagoya University.
