Belgian delegation holds meeting at Senate
A delegation of Belgium led by the President of the House of Representatives of the Kingdom of Belgium Siegfried Bracke held negotiations at the Senate of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan.
A Chairman of the Senate Nigmatilla Yuldashev received the Belgian delegation.
During the meeting, the Belgian delegation was acquainted with activities of the Senate and with course of reforms in Uzbekistan.
At the meeting it was noted importance of inter-parliamentary cooperation in strengthening legislative framework between two states. The sides also discussed issues of stirring up exchange of experience between two parliaments.

Uzbek-Korean cooperation exchange takes place in Tashkent
On September 15, the Uzbek and Korean businesspeople held a cooperation exchange in Tashkent.
The event was attended by the representatives of ministries and departments, as well as companies of both countries, working in such spheres like foreign trade, industry, automobile, construction, agriculture, food industry, electronics production, insurance, cosmetology and others.
During the forum, the participant discussed issues of further increasing bilateral trade turnover and assortment of traded products. The sides also talked about further development of cooperation between small and private businesses.
The forum participants also discussed issues of social-economical development of Uzbekistan and Korea Republic, economic reforms in Uzbekistan, perspective of investments, benefits and preferences in Navoi and Angren industrial zones.
At the cooperation exchange, the Uzbek and Korean business circles discussed issues of further developing mutually beneficial and perspective cooperation, broadening of business contacts in different sectors of economy, developing and realizing joint projects in trade and industry spheres.

EDUCATION
Twenty-seven facilities at 15 higher educational institutions of the country are planned to be commissioned by the end of the year
The Program of modernization of the material-technical base of higher educational institutions and radical improvement of training personnel in 2011-2014 included commissioning of 105 facilities, among them 55 training blocks for 43,000 study seats, 33 student dormitories for 9,000 beds, 13 sports facilities and other infrastructure sites. The scope of performed construction and repair work is equal to 504.6 billion soums.
These activities will be continued this year, for which the government has allocated 312.4 billion soums from the state budget, which will enable to commission another 47 facilities at 15 higher educational institutions (currency rates of CB RU from 16.09.2015 1$= 2610.89 soums).
Construction work has already been completed at the Uzbek State University of World Languages. This higher educational institution has acquired one of the largest and unique architectural complex of buildings. A new educational and administrative building for 2200 places has been built next to a sports complex with a gym, a football stadium, volleyball and basketball fields, tennis courts and a swimming pool. A canteen for 400 seats and a hotel for contracted foreign specialists have also been completed.
The facilities are being commissioned not only in the capital city. Thu, for example, one of the major streets of Bukhara will be transformed following the completion of reconstruction of the main educational building of the Bukhara State University. The famous University Boulevard will become even more beautiful after the reconstruction of the educational building of the physics and chemistry departments of the Samarkand State University.
Conditions for the faculty and for training students will significantly improve and the quality of training specialists will increase with the commissioning of new facilities. Since all new buildings are being fitted out with comfortable furniture, implements and modern information-communication and educational-laboratory equipment.
