Tashkent hosted an extended meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Export-Import Insurance Company “Uzbekinvest”, devoted to the results of the company for the I half of 2015.
It was noted that on 47 projects included in the Investment Program of the Republic for 2015, the company provided insurance coverage totaling 14 trillion soums, which is 19% more than the same period last year.
On insurance of export contracts of small business and private entrepreneurship, the company made commitments in the amount of 25 billion soums. The growth of this indicator made 62%.
The volume of services of the company provided to exporters on comprehensive insurance protection of property interests, amounted to 113.4 billion soums, including $3.7 million.
The company provided insurance services on insurance of agricultural, knitting products, carpets, non-woven fabric, auto parts exported to countries such as Russia, South Korea, India, Kazakhstan, the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates.
During the reporting period, the volume of insurance premiums on compulsory insurance of civil liability of vehicle owners totaled 1.8 billion soums, while the volume of insurance payments – 230.1 million soums.
To further ensure reliable insurance protection of the interests of foreign and domestic exporters, the company “Uzbekinvest” in the reporting period entered into a contract to provide insurance brokerage services with a company Marsh (Kazakhstan). At that, the company established cooperation with companies Starr Property & Casualty Insurance and Willis Insurance Brokers China (China). In addition, in a joint session of the intergovernmental commission on bilateral cooperation an agreement on reinsurance with an insurance company “Beleximgarant” was signed between Uzbekistan and Belarus.
