Briefing in the Slovak Agency for the Development of Trade and Investment

Briefing_SlovakThe Slovak Agency for the Development of Trade and Investment (SARIO) under the Ministry of Economy of Slovakia held a briefing dedicated to the trade and economic potential of Uzbekistan.

Participants have been provided detailed information on the current economic development of our country, implemented measures for modernization and technological re-equipment of industrial enterprises, improvement of the investment climate, as well as government programs aimed at the social and infrastructural development.

The Slovak side familiarized with the activities and capabilities of FIEZ “Navoi”, SIZ “Angren” and “Jizzakh”, benefits and privileges granted to foreign investors on the territory of these zones. In particular, there were noted the key objectives to support the production of import-substituting and export-oriented products, organizational and legislative conditions which contribute to mobilization and further development of the activities of foreign investors planning to cooperate with the Uzbek partners and introduce new technologies.

Briefing_Slovak1According to the Director for International Affairs of SARIO T.Buchek, investment climate, as well as a rich source of raw materials and skilled labor force formed in Uzbekistan play an important role in attracting foreign companies to the country.

Representative of Technoklima company P.Chobirka said that he had left an unforgettable impression from visiting our country in 2014. According to him, during the years of independence, the Government of Uzbekistan has done a great job in the field of modernization of the agricultural sector.

It was noted that Slovak companies are interested in developing cooperation with Uzbekistan in the agricultural sector, imports of Uzbek agricultural production in Slovakia, as well as the transfer of Slovak technologies and equipment for the further modernization of the agricultural sector of Uzbekistan.
