General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan jointly with the Public Youth Movement “Kamolot”, the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education, Tashkent State Law University held a scientific-practical conference on “The protection of young people from information attacks”.
The event was attended by faculty and students of higher educational courses of the General Prosecutor’s Office, representatives of the Central Council of Public Youth Movement “Kamolot”, the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education, Justice, Internal Affairs, on the development of information and communication technologies, the Women’s Committee of Uzbekistan, the Fund ” Mahalla “Republican center of spiritual, scientific and practical center of the national idea and ideology of media, as well as the faculty and students of the Tashkent State Law, Islamic, National University of Uzbekistan, University of World Economy and Diplomacy, Information Technology and other organizations.
The purpose of this event was to discuss measures to improve the accountability of state bodies and civil society institutions for the protection of information that have a negative impact on the minds and worldview of young people, as well as to ensure the effectiveness of legislative acts aimed at regulating relations in the sphere of information, further strengthening of prosecutor’s supervision over the strict and uniform observance of laws in this field.
It was noted that the processes of globalization extend the capabilities of information for citizens. However, this process requires a continuous improvement of the system and protect citizens from information attacks. Thus, the urgent task is to implement measures to protect youth at more than 60 percent of the population, from information attacks.
The conference discussed a complex of legal, organizational, technical and economic methods to protect young people from spiritual threats and information attacks, eliminate the negative impact of alien to our mentality of mass culture, the Internet and media.
