Conference participants will discuss ways to increase the volume of exports from Uzbekistan to the European Union and the Customs Union; development of traditional and alternative supply routes of exports to Europe and the Customs Union; export opportunities of fruits, vegetables and textile products. Participants will develop practical recommendations for fruit and vegetable exports to European markets and the Customs Union, as well as to Russian and Kazakh retail chains.
Moreover, business meetings of Uzbek exporters with representatives of trading and purchasing companies of Kazakhstan, Russia and Latvia will take place within the conference.
– Our Fund is actively cooperating with the USAID Project. This is not the first event on issues regarding the development of export of Uzbek fruits and vegetables that we conduct together. On February 19-20 of this year in Fergana region we held two day round table dedicated to the export and logistics of fruit and vegetables from Uzbekistan. As a result of negotiations held between domestic producers and foreign buyers during the event, 21 agreements worth $ 121.1 mln. for the supply of fruit and vegetable products to Russian and Latvian markets were signed. Such activities have purely practical nature and in addition to the discussion of current issues, participants receive practical advice on expanding commercial relations, have the opportunity to establish partnerships directly with purchasers of their products. I am sure that the joint work of the Fund and USAID envelopes to further increase of country’s export potential,- said Jahangir Mustafayev, the director of the Fund.
