On February 15, the Uzbekistan national judo team of 17 athletes departed to Heidelberg, Germany, to participate in the 2023 IBSA Judo Grand Prix.
More than 250 para-judokas from 46 countries will compete in the championships, which gives the right to receive rating points for the Paris 2024 Paralympics.
According to the International Judo Federation, 8 winners of the Paralympic Games and 13 world para champions will participate in the tournament.
According to the Uzbekistan National Paralympic Committee, Uzbekistan’s experienced athletes Sherzod Namozov, Feruz Saidov, and Uchqun Kuranboyev will also participate in the competition.
The championships will be held on February 16-18.
