On September 19, as part of the events of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, a meeting was held between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the United States of America Joseph Biden.
Current issues on the bilateral agenda and regional interaction were discussed. The U.S. President confirmed his strong support for independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity and the course of ongoing irreversible reforms in New Uzbekistan.
The primary attention was paid to promoting practical cooperation projects with leading American companies and banks.
The results of the bilateral meetings with the business community and the business forum that took place on the eve of the visit of the President of Uzbekistan to the United States were noted with satisfaction.
Particular attention was paid to continuing constructive interaction in human rights, gender equality, and other human dimensions.
