Breeding scientists of the Research Institute of Vegetable, Melon Crops and Potato have developed a hot pepper variety “Pearl of the East”, adapted for greenhouse cultivation, local soil and climatic conditions.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the new variety of hot pepper is the first local variety adapted to greenhouse cultivation in the country. This variety is mid-season, its growing season is 123-125 days. Appearance almost does not differ from other peppers. The bush is semi-harvested, stocky, moderately leafy, and tall. The fruits are conical in shape, medium in size, the surface is flat, green during technical ripening, and red during biological ripeness. The thickness of the pulp is 1.6-2.0 mm. From one bush you can get 45-50 fruits.
The yield of this variety can reach 25 tons.
