The energy industry of Uzbekistan – in the spotlight of international experts

The Ministry of Energy will host the Uzbekistan Energy Forum – UEF 2022 in Tashkent on June 23-24, 2022.

The Forum will be a logical continuation of the “Block of Energy Events”, including the International Exhibitions “OGU 2022”, “Power Uzbekistan 2022”, the specialized section “GETCA 2022”, which were successfully held on May 18-20, 2022, in Tashkent.

A significant event will take place during the Forum – a meeting of the energy ministers of the SCO member states.

The program of the Energy Forum provides for the holding of the 24th International Conference “Oil and Gas of Uzbekistan – OGU” and the 2nd International Energy Conference.

The Uzbekistan Energy Forum will become a unique tool for representatives of the state authorities, the expert community and private business to discuss plans for the development of the energy industry, existing pressing problems in Uzbekistan and in the region as a whole, as well as ways to overcome them based on world experience.

It is worth noting that Uzbekistan is one of the few countries in the world that fully provides itself with electricity from its resources. But the Leadership of the country is not stopping at what has been achieved, implementing large-scale reforms within the framework of the “Concept of providing the Republic of Uzbekistan with electric energy for 2020-2030” and other program steps.

The purpose of the Forum is a constructive exchange of views of the world energy community, strengthening mutually beneficial partnerships in the fuel and energy sector and further integration of Uzbekistan into the regional energy system.

To date, 60+ speakers, over 200 delegates from 12 countries have already confirmed their participation in the upcoming event: Azerbaijan, the UK, Germany, Italy, Kazakhstan, UAE, Russia, Saudi Arabia, the United States, Uzbekistan, France, Japan.

The Forum’s program includes a wide range of topics covered: from the global transition to clean and sustainable energy to the digitalization of the oil and gas industry, from the transformation of the electric power sector and attracting investments to nuclear energy.

The Forum will be attended by representatives of relevant government agencies, leading international oil and gas and energy companies, financial institutions, international experts, representatives of the research circles.

The events are held with the organizational support of the International Exhibition Company Iteca Exhibitions and its partner ICA Eurasia.
