The State Conservatory of Uzbekistan celebrates its 85th anniversary. It plays an important role in the popularization of Uzbek and world music, the education of highly intelligent and talented creative youth.
Celebration of the 85th anniversary of this higher musical education institution was combined with the First Forum of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of the SCO Member States. The conference held within its framework, the open-air concert attracted the attention of representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in the country and international organizations, musicologists, composers and bass players, and the creative intelligentsia.
The congratulation of the Head of the state on the occasion of the 85th anniversary of the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan was read out by the Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan – Presidential Press Secretary Sherzod Asadov.
By the Decree of the Head of the state “On awarding a group of professors and teachers in connection with the 85th anniversary of the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan”, a group of professors, teachers, musicologists and gifted students of this higher education institution, which has a prominent place not only in Central Asia, but also in CIS countries, was awarded orders and medals of the country. The awards were presented to them by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov.
The State Conservatory of Uzbekistan is rightfully considered the oldest higher musical education institution in Central Asia. For many years it was the only music university in the region. Prominent figures of the musical culture of Uzbekistan, the founders of professional art and musical science, worked here.
Specialists, musicians, conductors who graduated from this university are engaged in pedagogical and creative activities in Uzbekistan and many foreign countries. At the same time, students of the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan successfully perform at prestigious international competitions and art festivals.
In recent years, at the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan, several musical education institutions of a new direction have been created. The conditions in existing institutions are being brought in line with the requirements of the time.
The participants of the First Forum of Rectors of Higher Musical Education Institutions got acquainted with the practical attention paid in the country to music education.
The best works of foreign and Uzbek composers were presented at the open-air musical event.
The solemn event was attended by advisors to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdujabbor Abduvakhidov and Khayriddin Sultanov.
