On May 29-30, 2019, delegation of the Russian Federation led by the Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev will visit Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan reports.
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will receive the Russian delegation.
During the visit, it is planned to hold the first meeting of Uzbekistan – Russia Joint Commission at the level of heads of governments in the city of Urgench – a new format of bilateral cooperation established during the state visit of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin to Uzbekistan and summit talks in October 2018.
Heads of the governments of the two countries will sum up the 20th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, held on April 24, and discuss promising areas for further development of trade-economic relations, filling them with concrete practical content.
The delegation is expected to visit the city of Khiva.
