Tourism Training Consulting Center within the framework of the joint project “Skills for tourism” with the British Council held a focus group session with employers (representatives of hotel business and travel agencies).
The main objective is to assist in reforming the vocational education sector by strengthening the link between education and production.
Within the framework of the focus group session with employers, issues of creation of revised programs and plans on subjects of technical vocational education based on professional standards and competency assessment, strengthening of the system for improving the qualifications of teachers, development of a map of professions in tourism and professional standards, and others were discussed.
According to the Press Service of the State Committee for Development of Tourism, the issues raised during the meeting will be taken into account in development of National sectoral (professional) standards.
