On May 3-5, 2018, Management Development Institute of Singapore in Tashkent will host the “2nd International Congress on Cultural Heritage and Tourism”, to be held jointly with the Turkish University of Selçuk. Within the framework of this event, which will be attended by leading experts in tourism from more than 30 countries, such current issues as cultural heritage, diversification of tourism product, marketing and tourism management and others will be discussed.
The fact of choosing Uzbekistan as a host for the international congress on tourism and cultural heritage is due not only to its historical and geographical location in the center of the Great Silk Road, but also to the growing interest in the country’s potential as a center of historical, gastronomic and cultural tourism, emerged as the result of active government actions aimed at ensuring accelerated development of tourism industry of Uzbekistan.
