The electoral districts for the presidential elections formed in Uzbekistan
The Chairman of the Central Election Commission Mirza-Ulugbek Abdusalomov on January 7 held a meeting.
In accordance with articles 9 and 14 of the Law “On elections of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan” in the course of the meeting was adopted a resolution on the formation of electoral districts for elections of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Electoral districts for elections are established by the Central election Commission within the boundaries of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions and Tashkent city.
The meeting also discussed other issues related to preparation and conduct of elections of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Uzbekistan plans to complete 130 projects for US$7.4bn in 2015
Uzbekistan plans to complete implementation of 130 projects with total cost of US$7.442 billion in 2015, according to the resolution of the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov.
In line with the document, it is planned to complete construction of 45 new production capacities for US$4.902 billion and carry out 87 projects on modernization of existing capacities worth US$2.54 billion. It is planned to use US$2.292 billion to complete these projects.
In particular, Uzbekneftegaz and Korean consortium led by KOGAS will complete construction of Ustyurt Gas Chemical Complex with the cost of US$4.1 billion. Uzbekenergo will construct 370 megawatt combined-cycle plant at Tashkent thermal power station with the cost of US$512 million.
Navoi Mining and Metallurgy Combine will complete implementation of five projects for US$157.8 million. Almalyk Mining and Metallurgy Combine will modernize copper fabric for US$117.7 million and Uzkimyosanoat to expand soda plant in Kungrad.
Earlier, it was reported that Uzbekistan plans to implement over 300 investment projects for US$55.4 billion in 2011-2015.

Uzbek Health Resorts Ready to Receive Veterans
Since January 2, the health resorts of the country will receive the war veterans and veterans of labour front who are using the voucher issued in accordance with the presidential decree. The organization of leisure is planned in the manner so that each veteran will be able to improve their health in a convenient time during the year.
All the resorts of the country are included in the state program. The Federation of Trade Unions and department of therapeutic resorts in particular has done a lot of work.
All our resorts are prepared for the meeting of veterans of war and labour front, says Nigora Nurmatova, Deputy Chief of the department of therapeutic resorts at the Federation of Trade Unions. Given that all the resorts have own medical specialisation, the elderly people have the opportunity to improve their health based on their needs.
Correspondent of Uzbekistan Today have investigated the real situation on the example of ‘Chinobod’ health resort in Tashkent.
We work a lot to prepare for the veterants, we improved our infrastructure, conducted training as usually we serve people of younger age, says Eldar Zakirov, deputy chief physician of ‘Chinobod’. We try to do everything to make them feel comfortable.
Preparation work has affected almost all services of the health resort. The emergency room have a special nurse who will help the patient if necessary and will accompany the patient during the whole course of recovery. Special wheelchairs are purchased for the people with the diseases of the musculoskeletal system.
Veterans will live in a renovated one-story building with a ramp, near the dining room and the medical corps. The rooms are equipped with special warning systems so that people could call a nurse or doctor. The menu was prepare by the experienced cooks with nutritionists who took into account the health of travellers.
The medical service were also improve, although it has always been considered one of the strongest among the trade union resorts. The resort have hired a gerontologist, a specialist with years of experience who have studied at the Tashkent Institute of Advanced Medical. His mission is to help maintain the health of travellers.
Veterans will not get bored. The number of music records and videos were purchased, taking into account the tastes of elder people. The list of activities features the meetings with writers and actors, prominent cultural figures, who were the celebrities in past.

Submission of application to get permission for re-export and temporary import via the Single Portal of Uzbekistan
State Customs Committee of Uzbekistan launched two new services on the Single interactive state services portal: “Submission of application to get or prolong permission for temporary importation (exportation) of good” and “Submission of application to get Customs permission to place goods under the re-export regime”.
From this day, onward legal entities and individual entrepreneurs registered on the Single portal with EDS key and have the right to carry out export-import transactions can apply for permission to import or export temporarily or to place goods under the re-export regime of Customs filling in an online application and attaching required documents.
The service is implemented pursuant to the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures to further improve the procedures related to business activities and the provision of public services” dated 15 April 2014.
