Under this slogan, a press conference dedicated to possibilities of a new generation of television based on transmission of data over the IP protocol was held in Tashkent. JSC “Uzbektelecom” in cooperation with “ZTE” company is modernizing the equipment and expanding the coverage of IPTV and the number of services received by Uzbek viewers through this technology.
The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry for Development of Information Technologies and Communications of Uzbekistan, JSC “Uzbektelecom”, “ZTE” company, specialists in the sphere of communications and telecommunications, fiber optic technologies.
IPTV is a new generation of television that allows subscribers to use interactive services, due to which one can just not only watch TV shows in one-way mode, but also control their playback. For seven years, Uzbektelecom, together with ZTE, has been implementing IPTV services in Uzbekistan.
Participants of the press conference were presented all possibilities of modern IPTV and services provided by JSC “Uzbektelecom”. Interactivity and ability of providing users with a wide range of additional services were highlighted among the merits of this technology.
At the event, conditions and criteria that affect the effectiveness of IPTV, especially in remote regions of Uzbekistan were discussed.
