In recent years, the Uzbek-Korean relations are consistently and rapidly developing in many areas, including education, health and science. As part of the expansion of cooperation in the capital it was held 5th International Scientific and Practical Conference “Korean-Uzbek Forum on oriental medicine”.
It was organized by the Centre of Oriental Medicine at the Tashkent Medical Academy with the support of the Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine. During the forum, domestic and foreign experts, doctors and scientists analyzed the experience of going back to antiquity effective health systems and techniques in therapeutic practice, examined trends in the treatment of certain diseases, discussed new approaches based on domestic and foreign achievements.
The discussion touched on the future use of the achievements of Oriental medicine practitioners in Uzbekistan. It was noted that in the learning process of domestic medical schools with the help of colleagues from the Republic of Korea introduced a technique of preparation of doctors in the traditional system of health and longevity of the population. Localization of foreign developments in the future may be used for educational, research and clinical activity of local institutions. At the end it was held fruitful exchange of views and experiences at the forum helped to strengthen mutually beneficial partnerships between experts of the two countries.
