This university is one of the largest higher education institutions of our country. 7 thousand students and graduate students are studying at 8 faculties of the university.

Mohammad Ashraf Ghani was awarded the diploma of conferring him the title of Honorary Doctor of Bukhara State University.
I dreamed of visiting Bukhara, which played an important role in development of world science and Islamic civilization. I want to sincerely thank the distinguished President Shavkat Mirziyoyev for this opportunity. The land of Uzbekistan brought up many great thinkers, including Imam Bukhari and Imam Termizi. The youth who are educated here are brought up by worthy ancestors, said President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani.
