UZBEKISTAN SHOWCASES ITS TOURIST POTENTIAL IN KOREA

Presentation of the tourist potential of the Republic of Uzbekistan passed in the conference hall of Lotte Hotels and Resorts in Seoul, Republic of Korea, as well as business meetings in B2B format between Uzbek and Korean tour operators on 5 June.

Over 110 Korean tour operators and 9 leading tour operators of Uzbekistan took part in the event.

Videos were shown during the event about the tourism potential of our country from the point of view of cultural-cognitive, gastronomic, pilgrimage and ecological opportunities of Uzbekistan attractive for Korean tourists.

Within the framework of this presentation, the delegation of the State Committee for Tourism Development held a meeting with the President of the Korean Association of Travel Agents (KATA), Mr. Yang Mooseung.

The meeting was held in the form of a constructive dialogue. The sides exchanged views on actual practical directions of tourism development in Uzbekistan, in particular, ways of developing mutually beneficial cooperation, increasing tourist flow, attracting Korean investments in improving tourism infrastructure and discussed the promotion of Uzbekistan’s tourism potential in Korea.

In turn, Mr. Yang Mooseung stressed rapid development of tourism in Uzbekistan and suggested creating tour packages in conjunction with Korean tour operators taking into account the specific needs of Korean tourists.

The participation of the Uzbek delegation in the work of the international exhibition KOTFA, presentation of tourist potential of Uzbekistan and the organization of B2B meetings will give a new impetus to the development of relations provided that such events will be carried out on a regular basis.
