Professor of the Inha University in Tashkent Husniddin Olimov have become the only one in Central Asia who received this year’s award of the World Academy of Science (TWAS).
It was awarded to him for scientific papers in the field of physics published in 2016. Scientists from 16 countries received similar awards.
Rector of the Inha University in Tashkent (IUT) Sarvar Babakhodjayev commented thus: “It is a great pride for our university to have the one among its teachers who make a worthy contribution to the development of science in Uzbekistan and abroad. This reward confirms that there are many talented people in the republic, and we must support them. Recently we launched a program to train local professors. Within its framework, young teachers will be able to study at prestigious foreign universities, in particular, in the Republic of Korea. This program will positively affect not only the enhancement of the teaching quality at the Inha University, but also the advancement of science in Uzbekistan.
