The “Friendship” photography exhibition has been arranged at the Kamoliddin Behzod memorial park-museum under the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan jointly with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

Looking at photographs exhibited there, one has a better understanding of the power and significance of friendship in people’s lives and that of whole nations. Uzbekistan’s tourist attractions known around the world, its towns and villages that had changed for the better in the years of independence and the work of colleagues at schools, higher and secondary special education institutions, medical establishments and sports arenas were photographed by about 20 JICA volunteers working in this country.

As part of the exhibition, a charity trade fair and master classes on calligraphy and Japanese watercolour painting took place.

The number of JICA volunteers who have arrived in Uzbekistan has now reached 250. They are experienced specialists in such spheres as health care, education, finance and culture. They cooperate with their Uzbek colleagues and make a worthy contribution to the strengthening of friendship ties between the two countries.
