Apartment buildings in Tashkent were not built for many years, which led to the emergence of an acute need for housing.
At the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan, since 2017, construction of affordable houses for families in need of housing has begun in all cities. 102 apartment buildings were built in Sergeli district of Tashkent last year, apartments in them were purchased by 4 thousand 88 families.
In the current year, construction of 638 apartment buildings for 28 thousand apartments continues in Tashkent. Of these, 3334 apartments are classified as accessible, which is three times more than last year.
In particular, construction of 72 seven-storey houses with participation of foreign investors has started on the territory of citizens gathering of “Choshtepa” makhalla of Sergeli district.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the project of these houses.
“We have never built so many apartment buildings in Tashkent before. It is planned to build 72 seven-storey houses on one area. This already shows the scale of our activities on the path of creation, satisfaction of the people’s requests. Imagine how many people will be more confident, how many families will benefit from these houses”, said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The Head of the state gave instructions on using modern achievements in housing construction, starting the construction of similar houses in other places as well.
