Uzbekistan to direct US$128m to modernization of agriculture machinery

Agriculture machinery holding Uzagroprommashholding will direct US$127.8 million in 2016-2017 to the programme of further modernization of the industry, RIA Novosti reported.

According to the agency, the holding will direct US$98.5 million to modernization of Tashkent Tractor Plant (TTZ).

In the first stage of modernization (till the end of 2016), it is planned to organize capacities for production of 5,000 tractors, 1,000 cotton harvesters and 2,500 trailers.

In the second stage (till the end of 2017), the plant will organize capacities on mechanical working of forged parts (shafts and gears) with capacity up to 6000 sets.

The programme envisages production of trailers and pumping equipment on the basis of Chirchik plant of agricultural machinery (Tashkent region) with capacity up to 3,000 units a year with the cost of US$13.6 million.

Within two years, the holding will direct US$15.8 million to creation of construction bureau with the experience of production and system of providing maintenance services to produced equipment.

To implement the programme, the holding currently holds talks with the South Korean Hanwoo, German TRUMPF, Tracto-technik, Dalex and JAECKLE, as well as French CMF and US GROB, the holding said.
